Revenue per technician shows how much each field tech brings in. Enter revenue, the number of technicians who produced it and the length of the period.
Revenue per technician per month$15,500.00
Annualized revenue per technician$186,000.00
How it is calculated
- Revenue per technician per month = revenue ÷ technicians ÷ months in the period
- Annualized revenue per technician = monthly figure × 12
Worked example
With the starting values shown in the calculator:
- Revenue for the period: $62,000.00
- Number of technicians: 4
- Months in the period: 1
- Revenue per technician per month: $15,500.00
- Annualized revenue per technician: $186,000.00
Using the result
Count full-time equivalents. Two half-time techs are one technician. Seasonal trades such as HVAC should compare the same months year over year, because annualizing a peak month overstates the year.
